A Rainy Holly Week!

It’s been raining for 3days now sense Monday. I heard the news last night about the weather forecast; it has been told that this is due to the (ITCZ) Intertropical Convergence Zone. This is also known as the Intertropical Front, Monsoon trough, Doldrums or the Equatorial Convergence Zone, is a belt of low pressure girdling Earth at the equator. It is formed by the vertical ascent of warm, moist air from the latitudes above and below the equator. The air is drawn into the intertropical convergence zone by the action of the Hadley cell, a macroscale atmospheric feature which is part of the Earth's heat and moisture distribution system. It is transported aloft by the convective activity of thunderstorms; regions in the intertropical convergence zone receive precipitation more than 200 days in a year.

I check the weather forecast today and this will be the weather for Davao City:

Today: Scattered showers and thunderstorms. High 86F. Winds light and variable. Chance of rain 50%.
Tonight: Scattered showers and thunderstorms. Low 76F. Winds light and variable. Chance of rain 60%.
Tomorrow: Mixed clouds and sun with scattered thunderstorms. High 89F. Winds NNE at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 60%.
Tomorrow night: Scattered thunderstorms. Low 76F. Winds light and variable. Chance of rain 60%.
Saturday: Scattered thunderstorms possible. Highs in the upper 80s and lows in the mid 70s.
Sunday: Mix of sun and clouds. Highs in the low 90s and lows in the mid 70s.
Monday: A few thunderstorms possible. Highs in the low 90s and lows in the mid 70s.

This is why our Holly Week has a rainy season, cool isn’t it? hehehe Well, I love also this weather. Especially it is not hot and you can sleep very will. I am also sleepy as I am writing this column now. But, for some reason having rainy days will be not that good especially when going to church. So, guys just take extra precaution when going to church. I just hope that your Holly Week will be Blissful.
